this game is ste some time after Megaman Zero, none of the characters from the Zero series are seen in this game but there is Bio Metal Versions of them

at the start of the game you choose eith Vent or Aile, both lost their perents to Mavericks, both work for Giro Express and both follow the same path, they work for Girouette who ofcause is the boss of Giro Express but is also a member of the Guardian who resurch Bio Metals and the Maverick Outbrakes, both your character and Giro are Megamen, chosen ones who can fuse with Bio Metals to obtain their power, now the Guardians are lead by Prairie who seems to carry a teddy that looks like Alouette's teddy from the Zero series, that teddy was given to her by her older sister who was once the leader of the Guardians, my guess is Ceil because it explains why all the people in the Guardians look like the Resistence from the Zero Series, then you have Fleueve, the vice commander and dose your Bio Metal Repairs.

now what good is a game if there is no bad guys, this bad guy is Megaman just like Vent, Aile and Giro, Serpent, President of Slither Inc. a group that owns one of only a handful of machine sthat can gather energy for the world, by his side is Prometheus and Pandora, you don't really get to know weather their Megamen or Mavericks but they only follow Serpent for one reason and that's the Bio Metal he uses.

Bio Metal themselves are, stated at the begining, heros of the past, you start off with Model X (X) while Giro uses Model Z (Zero) but later in the game, the 2 combine and you lose Model X to get Model ZX, after that, you fight your bosses and depending on which boss you beat depend on the Bio Metal you gain, you only gain 1 half of it how ever so there is 2 bosses that use the same Bio Metal yet the bosses aren't Megamen, their just normal machines, most likely Mavericks, these Models are Model H, F, L and P, each looking like one of the 4 X-Guardians from the Zero Series but one Bio Metal Model isn't a hero and that's Serpents Bio Metal, Model W, yep, you guessed it, Weil, however only the fragment one that Serpent uses at first looks like Weil but the Model W Core dosen't look a thing like it but it's located where a certin space station crashed at the end of Zero 4, trasfroming into the Bio Metal Forms make you look like that hero thus how we know which Bio Metal is who even though they don't ever tell you but Serpents Model W Fragment form and Model W Core form look nothing like that fool, after you complete the game you have to get the Bio Metals all over again but you keep Model X and also there's one more Bio Metal, Model O (Omega) which you can only use once you've completed the game once.

the set up of the world is like the Zero Series, there are 2 areas, Interplace and Outerplace, Interplace is where it's safe, if your not transfromed, you won't get attacked my Serpent's machines (or Mavericks since it's him that control most of the outbrakes), they have light which are green at this time but when your trasform, these light turn red and they will attack, Outerplace there's no safe area, it's either kill or be killed, most of your bosses are out here, apart from Interplace and Outerplace which tell you which areas are safe and which aren't, the world is broken into areas, area's A, B, C and D are Interplace and all the rest are Outerplace, Area X is the Guardian Airship, in each area there's a trans-server which you use to save your game, select a mission or request or teleport to another area, when you activate them, you recover all your helth, yellow trans-servers do all of this while red ones do all of this bit teleport, you normaly find these at the end of an area or in the middle of ones wher a boss is in.

in all i rate this only because ZX 2 Advent uses Model A (Axl) and ZX dosen't explain his absence in the Zero series, bit still a very good game
