| In the Beginning |
long ago, man's mastery in science lead them to created machines that could move on their own, they could talk, they took orders, these was the Robots, they was used to help in household tasks, in other research, in wars against other robots, a set of rules was created so that robots would obey their human masters, these came to be known as the Rules of Robotics
any Robot that broke these rules was known as a Maverick, a robot that broke the rules, most Mavericks committed a crime to be a Maverick but others killed humans, thinking that humans was using them as tools to be god, at this time, Maverick Outbreaks wasn't a problem, until the Maverick Virus came. the Maverick Virus is like any other human pathogen (air born virus like the cold) but it was a computer virus, infecting only robots, corrupting their data, making them Maverick, the source to the Maverick Viruses was unknown and many legends was created including Maverick Virus Hohenhein and the Dark Motherloid, now more and more robots was becoming Mavericks and the Official Forces (a group that controlled Fire Department, Paramedic, Police and Military world over, they was given orders by the Wisemans Committee, the working government of the world at that time) was having trouble keeping the numbers down, Mankind's effort to create the robots was thought as an act to be a god, being able to create life, robots was artificial life but was still considered to be living things, for this, many started to think this was humanity's sin and it's punishment was the Mavericks. |
| The Reploids |
the year was 20XX, 2 great scientists in the field of Robotics, Dr Thomas Light and Dr Albert Wily worked on a new generation of robot, this lead them to create a Prototype of this new breed of robot which they called a Reploid, the Reploid had human features, a face, talked more human, had feeling, acted human, could think like a human, they still had to have a main programming and obey the Rules of Robotics, the prototype Dr Light and Dr Wily created was named Protoman, he activated without a main programming and thus wasn't bound to any sort of set orders, with Protoman working better than the two had originally thought, they went to create 10 other Reploids, 8 wasn't given name but 2 was, one was Roll, she was programmed to clean up the lab while the second was her twin brother Mega who was programmed to help out in the lab, after all that work they went to sleep, knowing that peace may come to humanity, or so they thought. in the morning, Dr Light found Dr Wily gone and the 8 unnamed Reploids, Protoman and Mega was gone, Roll was still there but she had been shook up, she was in shock and couldn't speak at the time, then suddenly Mega burst though the door beaten up, he told Dr Light that Dr Wily kidnapped them all, had the unnamed Reploids which Wily renamed the Robot Masters (Gutsman, Fireman, Iceman, Cutman, Electman, Bombman, Timeman and Oilman) attack Roll and left for Castle Wily, his plan was to conquer the world with them, Wily was already half way though building a Robot Army to go with the Reploid Robot Masters, seeing how distressed Dr Light was having been betrayed by his long time friend Dr Wily, Mega asked Dr Light to reprogram with with weapons to fight Wily, Dr Light knew that there was something in Megaman that neither him or Dr Wily had put in before, a strong sense of justice, this was the day Megaman was born, after stopping what is now called the 1st Robot Rebellion, Wily escaped in defeat and Megaman walked out as the victor but knowing Wily would be back |
| One little mistake |
| it was found that the first Rule of Robotics, A Robot must never harm a Human Being wasn't writen correctly, this was found about by Megaman when he defeated Wily, the Rule only could be broken if the human was killed and thus the Robot or Reploid would get a bug in the CPU (just like any of the other rules of broken), this meant that Megaman didn't become a Maverick because he had hurt Wily and not killed him |
| The 2nd Robot Rebellion |
| after his defeat, Dr Wily got to work on a new set of Robot Masters, more powerful the the previous 8 but to do this, Wily infected them with Maverick Viruses, this way they wouldn't hesitate to do what was needed to do to conquer the world, after seeing an attack made by one of the Robot Masters, Megaman knew that he had to stop Wily again but this time he wasn't alone, Dr Light had created a pet for Megaman, a dog named Rush, he was a robot dog which could fuse with Megaman to give him new abilities and then there was Protoman, who had escaped from Wily during the 1st Robot Rebellion, he joined Megaman in helping him defeat Wily but then he left Megaman, it wasn't that Protoman didn't care for his little brother, it was that Protoman preferred to be alone but had always held feelings for his father, brother and sister |
| The 3rd Robot Rebellion |
| Wily was now furious in having been defeated by both Megaman and Protoman, to get revenge, he framed Protoman but creating a copy of him to kidnap Dr Light and Roll, after realizing the truth, Protoman and Megaman joined forced again to stop Wily and his Robot Masters |
| Maverick Hunter |
| due to the Mavericks Wily was creating in the Robot Rebellions, the Wisemans Committee saw fit to allow the Robots and Reploids of the world to create their own group known as Maverick Hunter, it's duty was to deal with Maverick Problems with the Officials could deal with normal human problems |
| The 4th Robot Rebellion |
| this was started by Dr Cossack from Sharo (a frozen continent at the northern pole), he created the Robot Master and the Mavericks to go with it, after Megaman reached him and defeated him, Dr Cossack told Megaman about how he was forced to start the Robot Rebellion by Dr Wily because Dr Wily had his daughter Kalinka Cossack, Megaman took on Wily yet again but at a price, during the battle Kalinka was caught in an attack to save Megaman's life and had almost died, Dr Cossack, being able to reverse engineer anything in the Field of Robotics was able to transfer Kalinka's essences (mind, memory and feelings) into a Reploid version of her body, thus making Kalinka into a Reploid |
| The 7th Robot Rebellion |
| during the 2 years that had passed since the 3rd Robot Rebellion, Dr Light had been training a young Robot name Auto in being able to build items and upgrades using any amount of junk, Auto had became good friends with Megaman and Roll and tagged along with them for a bit, Wily, who was put in jail after the 6th Robot Rebellion was plotting his next plan and had created a new set of Robot Masters to brake him out of prison, but this wasn't all, the Robot Masters was lead by another Reploid named Bass and his pet wolf Treble, Bass had tricked Megaman by befriending him and then attacking Dr Light, as Megaman took on Bass numerous times in Wily's Fort Megaman finally got to Wily, but this time Megaman was different, he was using his rage to fight and because of what Wily had done and the number of innocent people that got hurt, Megaman was ready to kill Wily but Bass took the blast for Wily, but then he rebelled, saying that he knew better ways in destroying Megaman and that Wily's plans was pathetic, Bass took off vowing revenge to Megaman and Wily escaped once again |
| The 8th Robot Rebellion |
| Wily started this one when he found some strange energy that fell to earth along with a robot, this robot was called Duo and he wasn't from earth, he memory was still a bit fuzzy to who he really was but he knew if Wily continued to use the Dark Energy that he had found, it could mean the end of the peace and justice, helping Megaman, they took on Wily and with Protoman's help, they was able to defeat him again, after the battle was fought, Duo went off on his own to learn more about the planet he was now stuck on |
| The 9th Robot Rebellion |
| after being defeated by Megaman again during the 8th Robot Rebellion, Bass knew that Megaman was strong but knew that one day he would be able to defeat him and decided to join with Megaman in his battles, just as he did, a Maverick named King appeared and attacked using 8 Reploids, yet two wasn't new to Megaman, Protoman and Bass, 2 was Astroman and Tenguman from the 8th Robot Rebellion and after defeating King, they found out that he to was created by Wily, Bass was pissed off because Wily had created another to surpass him and helped Megaman and Protoman take on Wily, after defeating him, Wily ran off like always and the 3 Reploids went down is history |
