About the Site

MHO Ultra Mega wasn't always like this, it first started out as a small School Intranet site when i first was beginning to learn about Web Design, at that time it was made from raw HTML and took less than a day to set up a stylish Home Page, later i learned how to use Dreamweaver but at that time the School Intranet was screwing up and we couldn't access our Intranet Pages, so that's when i wanted it on the actual Internet.

MHO Ultra Mega Cyber World

my first idea for the site was an interactive Cyber world like in Megaman Battle Network, of cause with a storyline, the world of MHO Ultra Mega under attack from Bass and his Nexis Navi's but the real threat to the world was the one manipulating Bass's Elites, of cause this would have been a good idea if it didn't take over 2 months to update, and that was provided that i didn't do any homework, didn't work on my animations or on my games, so the idea was scrapped before it even got onto the net.

MHO Ultra Mega Version 1.0: Power is Thy Forte

the first version to reach the net, blue like background yet hardly any content at that time, and didn't run on Templates so updating Affiliate was really hard, at it's activation the admin was the Mema Hunters me and Div and my so called friend Mr F (also goes by the names Echo or Anti-spam) and Tyrant (also goes by the names The Tyrant or DragonD) however all the admin had to do something for the site, Tyrant had planed to create something like Dark Throne and Kings of Chaos yet he didn't even start on it, also he was trying to take full admin control on the forum saying that the true admin didn't know anything and all questions should be directed to him, he was removed, Mr F wanted to have a Fan .GIF page where animated .GIF file was submitted to the site, problem was that he didn't want anyone e-mailing the .GIF to him and he wasn't allowed to access the web server, in other words, he suggested having that section but never wanted to run it, also he created another account in the forum, opposite sex to himself and did not notify me on why he did it, he was removed, also the old forum was a ProBoards forum and the members on there weren't following any of the rules (probably because none of them had been on a forum before and also none of them was Megaman/Mema Hunter Game/Anime Fans and had really nothing to add to the forums) the forum was shut down but i do now and again check to see if anyone has registered on it and redirect them to the new forum.

MHO Ultra Mega Version 2.0: Protecting the Community for over 30 minutes

a Darker blue background, used Templates, and a new PHPBB forum was made, however the server i was on, 110MB wasn't very reliable and i really had no choice but to try and find another server, the menu was a Flash Based one that had to be recreated every time a new section was added and was getting a pain in the ass to do, also my friend Boris had suggested he host my site since he had shit loads of space and Bandwidth plus he's really good with computers, better than me, plus if anything was to happen to the server he would be able to fix it.

MHO Ultra Mega Version 2.5: Protecting the Community for over 30 minutes

using a completely different layout we still call it V2, this one is much more neater and organized, the admin are only the Mema Hunters and will stay as only the Mema Hunters, all new Mema Hunter will have to run something on the site however that won't happen for some time, the forum is a PHPBB forum, better than the last, although most of the members from the ProBoards forum came onto the new one and only really posted once in a while, it's been inactive apart from update posts made by me and Div.

MHO Ultra Mega Version 3.0

We created a brand new layout without relying on PHP, ASP, Java or any other language other then HTML and CSS. we expanded the news section to cover Final Fantasy News and we also have a subsection for our Core Games, also created a moving banner at the top, we also changed the sites file structure so now it's much more neater on the server.

MHO Ultra Mega Version 4.0: Free Pizza and Coke on Fridays

During version 3.0 we set up a comment system for the news we put up, however we would still manually create the news pages, utilising my skills in PHP, i was able to intergrate the news boards of the forum to the site so now it's a lot easier to post up news, and you can see how many comments have been left on that news topic, we was hoping to set up an RSS feed however we have yet to find out how we can get XML to get news from the forum like what PHP does.

MHO Ultra Mega Version 4.5: Free Pizza and Code on Fridays

The Current Version. We reverted back to using tables due to major incopatibilities between Internet Explore and Mozila Firefox, untill a version of HTML is released that removes all power browsers have over websites (making all browsers view the page the exsact same way, no matter what) this was the best option, we also made the entire site PHP based due to the radom title image at the top of the page, we also included release dates for upcoming Megaman/Final Fantasy Games.
