FAQs

Div IXover the time, we got questions about the site, in previous updates, we posted them all up, in this update, we'll only have up ones that get asked every time

Q: How do I affiliate with MHO?

A: we have an enitre page on that, don't let all the rules scare you off, their the basic rules all sites follow, we just explain them in detail.

Q: How do I Register?

A: just use the registration system on the forums, you can use the one on the Image Gallery but the problem is that it'll make a seperate account, if you want an account on the Image Gallery to have the same username as your forum one, use the Application Form on the forums.

Q: Is registration free?

A: yes, we wouldn't dare charge you, it's not right.

Q: How do i use the forum?

A: We have a FAQ on the forum that has forum based FAQ.

Q: How reliable is the news you post up?

A: very, either me or Memor-X cross reference the news we get from our other RSS Feeds to ensure that the news is correct, we also check out the official sites.

Q: Why do you post up news of Madman's releases?

A: Madman releases region 4 DVDs of anime, these are normaly released 2 or 3 months after region 1 DVDs, here's an example

Region 4: Bleach Episode 58 released
Region 1: Bleach Episode 80 released

see, if we give news on region 4 releases, you can be sure that it's already released in region 1 for the past month or 2.

Q: What about games?

A: we try and get the release dates for Japaness, US and Europe releases of a game.

Q: Why does Australian release dates have a "?" at the end?

A: normally Australian releases are the same as Europe releases, however, there has been times where the wait has been longer, don't belive me, 4 words. Left, 4, Dead, 2.

Q: why have seperate dates for Australian releases?

A: MHO Ultra Mega is based in Australia.

Q: What's Pandora?

A: it's a program that originally was going to be a PS3 and X-Box 360 hybrid for games we make, that was before PSN created an update so most games now have Trophies, now.....we can say it's practily a PS3 OS but built by us for our games.

Q: Can my games work with it?

A: if you hack it they might but what's the point, if you can do that you can build a batch progarm that would work the exact same with less graphics and would be quicker.

Q: I ment with the Trophies?

A: oh, PM Memor-X, it's something the 2 of us have discused and Memor-X has told me "I might allow it if the game is good enough, otherwise everyone will get their game on it getting all their trophies and screwing up the scores, i'll think about it when the time comes anyway".

Q: Why is there Text where Links should be?

A: a system Memor-X built to make disabling broken links or sections of the site that are down, this way we don't have to update the entire site if we make a small change in the template since only PHP Scripted Templates (which we call PST) will work on web servers, any other template will only work if updating the template updates the files localy and on the webserver via a live FTP feed.

Q: Can you build my site?

A: No, the current layout for the site took too long to build and it's not user friendly, you need to know as much as we do to update it and in that case you might as well do it for yourself, it'll be quicker.

Q: Why is your site so small?

A: years back, the standard for web page development was 1024x768, though if you look at the build code though your browser the largest table is 1010 pixels wide, however there's a 7 pixel wide border around it also which if you do your maths, 1010 + 7 + 7 = 1024

Q: Who manages Facebook/Twitter/Google+?

A: Both me and Memor-X, ofcause i rather not do anything with them but Memor-X has convinced me to help out

Q: Why do you post up polls about your work?

A: Memor-X comes up with idea that he will add to a game but it conflicts with an exsisting idea, so he asks gamers to see which they want

Q: Why do you have W3C Valid Code links when some pages show errors?

A: Memor-X worked real hard to get those and he applied them to the global template which updates EVERY page however yes some pages come up as errors, these are mainly to do with PHP code and data import for PHP, one good example is the downloads link in the Nexis Core section, all the errors point to the web page the link goes to but all that extra text in the link is the input for the search page on the downloads section.

So actully all the pages are valid, it's just that W3C don't exclude dynamic PHP code which will show up as errors anyway.
