Output Limiters, also know as Ability Limiters or just Limiters was a method employed by the TSAB to prevent mages more magical energy than permitted as a means to limit the danger imposed on the fabric of time-space when great magnitudes of magic is used in a small area but prevent incarcerated individuals

Prior the JS Incident Limiters were used almost everywhere however after it's conclusion the Enforces launched an internal investigation into their use, finding that had the Limiters not been in use limiting the abilities of mages the damage done to Ground Forces H.Q and the destruction of Section 6 could have been adverted. despite the findings it was not until the Paradox Hourglass was discovered that they were discontinued.

Workings

Limiters work by imposing a type of Anti-Magic Field on the Linker Core directly effectivly forcing the Mage to make do with less mana. while most spells will be affected certain spells, particularly those that use residual mana like Starlight Breaker, can still achieve their original level of power in certain situations.

Time-space Effects

The main reason for using Limiters was to alleviate danger imposed on the fabric of time-space when great magnitudes of magic is used in a small area. this same phenomenon was once encounter by TSAB Mages on-board the Asura during the Jewel Seed Incident when Nanoha Takamachi and Fate Testarossa clashed while obtaining a Jewel Seed causing a Dimensional Quake.

Because the negative Time-Space Effects results in Paradoxes since the discontinuing of Limiters the current procedure of the TSAB is to send Mages specialising in Spatial Magic to disperse the Paradox Mana allowing time-space to heal itself
