Nanoha Takamachi is the main and titler character of the Magical Girl Lyrcial Nanoha series

Personality

Nanoha is a caring and understanding person who attempts to take the diplomatic approach but often will use force if dialogue isn't enough, and in the past has proven far more effective.

While caring Nanoha is also a strict mother in contract to Fate when it comes to Vivio but when it comes to the Vivio being the Saint King she contradict herself often trying to prevent any means that Vivio may be exposed to influence.

Because of her Japanese origin Nanoha tend to called Fate "Feito". while she can actually use the word Fate she opts to use Feito instead as a sort of pet name, much to Fate's liking. this trait as also rubbed off onto Vivio with her calling Fate "Feito-mama"

Role

Pre Ai-Hazard (Post JS Incident)

Nanoha officially adopted Vivio as her daughter and in 0076 introduced Vivio as her daughter to her parents back on Earth. Her parents were initially shocked at the surprise development expecting to meet Nanoha's Boyfriend long before they meet a grandchild however after a while they were able to come to terms with the sudden development.

Nanoha maintains a routine schedule in booking leave to Visit Earth with Vivio and a selection of friends

Paradox Hourglass Incident

Nanoha joined Fate in her investigation into the increasing number of Paradox Incidents which lead to the discovering of the Paradox Hourglass. the incident cumulated into a fight with the 2 of them against an anarchist terrorist group from outside TSAB Space seeking to destabilize the TSAB while at the same time creating a new form of Magic in which would be used to solve the worsening crisis, discrediting the TSAB and taking their place.

After arresting the members of the terrorist group Nanoha was to be promoted however as with previous promotions she turned it down remaining as an instructor. on the final night before Fate had to give word weather she would accept her promotion Nanoha was out behind Section 6 trying to think how she would confess her feeling to Fate knowing she would accept her promotion and be assigned to almost continuous ship deployment.

Before Fate left to the TSAB Headquarters Hayate took a photo of the two of them at Nanoha's request for Fate to keep her company while she was away and along with the two of them trading their ribbons once again.

During the Year that followed Nanoha had made repeated attempts to see Fate at the TSAB Headquarters however always almost every time there was no time for the 2 to catch up. despite acting strong in-front of her friends her longing for Fate was eating away on the inside.

Mako Trio Incident

After Fate's return most former members of Riot Force 6 and a couple extra moved into Section 6. During the moving in Ground Forces H.Q come under attack.

After the attack Nanoha forced her way into Fate's Investigation into the mission Mako Trio Warships. Their Investigation first lead them to Carnaaji where the signal for Second Mako had disappeared and was able to confirm that Lutecia had disappeared

The following afternoon having returned to Mid-Childa Nanoha and Fate discovered Erio calling for help having found Caro near Sakura Park after she had been attacked by Lutecia. while treationg her word came in about the location of First Mako being attacked by bugs. upon arrival Nanoha and Fate fought Garyu but learned that Lutecia was under another's control

Having linked Jail Scaglietti to Lutecia's current condition and interrogated him and the remaining Numbers Nanoha and Fate learned of the Clone Embryo inside Lutecia and it's activation. As Scaglietti revealed that he had implanted the embryo into Lutecia when the Relic was implanted Nanoha became sick from the thought that Vivio too was carrying an clone embryo, implanted into her at the same time as the Relic however Scaglietti quickly dismissed the pointlessness of such a move.

The morning after Caro was unable to get any sleep because of her worry for Lutecia but Nanoha comforted her until Ballad hacked Section 6's Communications Array and revealed Lutecia's location on Novas. After arriving on Novas and finding Lutecia Nanoha and Fate fought Garyu while Hayate fought the Gadget Drones and Caro fought Lutecia however despite their actions Lutecia escaped to the arrived Mako Trio.

Onboard Nanoha and Fate fought Scaglietti's Clone but despite his weakened state they was unable to get though is Anti-Magic capabilities until Kage appeared and shape-shifted into a woman but after her magic became unstable until a Fate look-a-like appeared.

after destroying the clone and saving Lutecia the Fate look-a-like revealed to the Alicia Testarossa, causing Nanoha to fly into a rage remembering the pain Presea Testarossa caused Fate. following the conclusion of the incident Nanoha apologised to Fate for her actions and expressing how she wanted to apologise to Alicia.

Following their date at Blitz Royal and learning of Einheart's current situation Nanoha and Fate agreed to take in Einheart

Material Unit Attack

After arriving on Earth Nanoha introduced Fate to her parents in the context of her girlfriend, being much more nervous than when she introduced Vivio. the night of the day after (17th of December 0081) Nanoha and Fate were attacked by Seikou Stern and Levi Raisell who spotted them earlier and identified as Mages by Seikou. during the fight Suzuka appeared and aided her friends but the fight prematurely ending prematurely on Levi's account.

The night later having informed Hayate of what had happened the 3 sought out Seikou and Levi. Their second fight however was interrupted by the interference of Lord Dearche. while under the mercy of Dearche's spell they were saved by Alicia and Trishia. Following Trishia's defeate Nanoha and Fate were freed from Dearche's spell thanks to Hayate and Rein and was later aided by Signum and Chrono in their fight against Seikou and Levi. The battle concluded as a result of Dearche no longer find any amusement.

Following the explanation on the Material Unit and the TALON Nanoha's Team, consisting of herself, Vita and Zafira, headed to Suzu.

As of the end of Chapter 8, following Amaterasu's death Midori received word about the Himiya Shrine in Suzu falling under attack. at around the same time the Miko learned of the attack Levi called off her fight with Fate and focused her attention in the direction of Suzu before escaping with Fate noticing a glow off at the horizon. The fate of the Takamachi Team is currently unknown

Relationships

Fate Testarossa

Fate has been Nanoha's closest friend since they first met when they were both 9 and during their years have grown closer. they both held deeper feelings for one another and were able to slightly vent these feelings when Nanoha adapted Vivio and when they began to live together in Section 6.

After the conclusion to the Paradox Hourglass Incident Nanoha and Fate confessed their feeling for one another and officially started dating, though the actual "dating" didn't occurs until a year later when Fate was promoted to Mobile Enforcer

Vivio Takamachi

Vivio is Nanoha's adopted daughter who she loves very dearly. during the JS Incident Vivio fought Nanoha while under Quattro's influence but when she was 'disposed of' Nanoha reassured Vivio she she would always be her mama.

Nanoha is strict with Vivio and despite wanting her to do things herself, Nanoha contradict this and interfere when it comes to the Saint Church trying to put Vivio in roles where people will see her as the Saint King, so much so that it becomes an annual thing for her and Carim to argue about Vivio's participation at the Saint's Vestal Ceremony

Suzuka Tsukimura and Arisa Bunnings

Suzuka and Arisa are 2 of Nanoha's closets friends from childhood. originally at odds with Arisa after getting in between Arisa's bullying of Suzuka the 2 got into a fight before Suzuka spoke up telling them to stop.

The two of them are among the first outside Nanoha's Family to meet up with her when she returns for Christmas and normally spent a few nights at the Takamachi Household for a sleep over so they can catch up.

Hayate Yagami

Another close friend of Nanoha's and the main reason she began living on Mid-Childa. the two met during the Book of Darkness Incident and just like her meeting with Fate they were initially enemies, though the difference was that Nanoha was unaware at first Hayate was the master of the Book of Darkness.

After the JS Incident Hayate had Section 6 rebuilt for Nanoha to live in along with Fate and has handled all the administrative work involved in owning the place for residence and a place of work for Nanoha's instructional work.

Alicia Testarossa

Initally Nanoha was very hostile to Alicia due to the notion that Presea Testarossa was still alive. like most of Fate's friends and family there is animosity to the Testarossa name when it comes to Presea due to her treatment of Fate in the past and at times this animosity can be passed to Alicia. After her outburst Nanoha remembered how Fate would like to reconnect with her old family and becomes one of the first start accepting Alicia

Yuuno Scrya

Yuuno was the one who introduced Nanoha into the world of Magic, not aware of Nanoha's dormant potential. While Nanoha and Yuuno are friendly now and again Yuuno gets onto the girl's bad sides and as such he had an understandable fear of Nanoha's wrath as demonstrated when he had almost ruined Nanoha's first Christmas with Fate as her girlfriend.
